Get more involved with your association! Serving on a committee is one of the most critical ways to actively participate and gives our members an open channel of communication with fellow industry experts. Terms are annual and in most cases are limited to 3 consecutive years. The selection process for committee members is underway and we need YOU!
NOTE: Committees are open to active AHEPP members only. AHEPP members may only serve on one committee at a time. You must be LOGGED IN to your AHEPP membership account to access the application.
AHEPP 2026 Conference Planning Committee This committee will help select the annual conference presentations and determine the agenda for the conference. All members will be asked to help to moderate sessions at the conference and assist with various tasks as needed. Applicants must have attended at least 1 AHEPP Conference in the past to be considered. Committee members may serve for 2 consecutive years. Members that have serve and come off the committee are eligible to serve after one year break.
Education Committee The AHEPP Education Committee will help determine the monthly webinar schedule for the year and will define other education needs of the members.
Tools and Resources Committee The AHEPP Tools and Resources Committee will assess the need for resources and tools to better complete the tasks of disaster preparedness and response job. As the committee determines needs and gaps, the committee will create and post sharable tools and resources to allow members to alter and utilize to best suit their own needs. This new committee is still determining the scope and depth of the tasks and will move ahead forming their own mission statement and path ahead.
AHEPP 2024/2025 Professional Standards Review Task Force This committee will help determine and write the changes and updates needed for the AHEPP Professional Standards document. The document drives the content within the AHEPP certification exam and works to standardize and improve the practices of all healthcare emergency preparedness professionals. All committee members that apply should have at least 5 years experience in healthcare emergency preparedness and be familiar with the existing AHEPP Professional Standards. Preference will be given to AHEPP members with an AHEPP Healthcare Emergency Manager Certification. All committee members will be expected to attend the IN-PERSON meeting on February 27, 2025 following the 2025 AHEPP Annual Conference in Orlando, FL. Email ahepp@ahepp.org with questions.
