Summary: Incident Command for Hospitals is not a new concept. Many hospitals have experienced the benefits of following a consistent reporting and documentation structure.  However, many Small Hospitals still struggle with adapting the system to work for them.  This webinar will highlight the benefits of using HICS in Small Hospitals with a focus on the combined Job Action Sheets.  We will examine this powerful tool and discuss how you can make it work for you.  All participants will be given free access to the Job Action Sheets for Small Hospitals.

 

Objectives:

By the end of this webinar session, the participant will be able to:

1)      Explain the value of using Incident Command in Small Hospitals

2)      List three advantages of the Small Hospital JAS

3)      Discuss the process of building a Hospital Incident Management Team in a Small Hospital including delegation of authority and responsibility.

Barbara is the Director of Hospital Preparedness Programs for the Center for Preparedness Education

and has served on the National HICS Advisory Group for 10 years. She facilitated the workgroup that developed HICS for small hospitals with Critical Access Hospitals from Southeast Nebraska.
