During this one hour webinar, participants will review materials that will allow them to design their own tornado drill or tabletop exercise. All materials will be distributed in editable format to participants. Materials will include a Situation Manual, Participant Feedback forms, and a Draft After Action Report. Instruction on how to use HSEEP methods to complete the forms and make the exercise beneficial to all staff will be included. This presentation will also include some unique ideas of how to engage staff that don’t usually participate and how to enhance facility knowledge regarding severe weather.

 Objectives:

By the end of this webinar participants will be able to:

Utilize the template situation manual, participant feedback forms and after action report to design an exercise at their own facility.

Describe unique ways to engage staff and enhance knowledge with exercise.

 

Keith Hansen is currently Director of Operations & Management of the UNMC College of Public Health. As such, he supervises operations in the areas of general administration including, finance and fiscal affairs, staff supervision and human resources, building supervision and assigned internal and external College relations.

Previously, he was the Associate Director for the Center for Preparedness Education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In this position, Mr. Hansen conducted education, training, and disaster drills/exercises for Fortune 500 companies, higher education, local and state public health departments, hospitals, emergency management agencies, and numerous first responders.
